Back to earth yoga / Dynamic Vinyasa Yoga connecting to the land
This practice will be all about rooting into the land and mountains that will hold us for the next few days during our yoga festival. We will move through a deep and dynamic practice to strengthen, ground and support us for the next few days.
The physical practice will be a dynamic Vinyasa practice with focus on creating a strong sense of core and midline to hold us. Standing postures that ground us and sweet end of practice with some longer holds to calm the mind and truly arrive.
Weekend Welcome
Allow yourself to simply arrive in this session - arrive at 1850m above sea level at the 6th Mountain Yoga Festival in St. Anton am Arlberg. We will hold the various asanas with calmness and precision, enjoy them and above all let them take effect on us.
Derived from Sanskrit, "ha" stands for sun/power and "tha" for moon/rest. The aim of Hatha Yoga is to combine these opposing forces. The combination of asanas and pranayama will not only increase your flexibility, but also bring patience and self-acceptance. The goal, as Patanjali describes it in the Yogasutras, is "the calming of the movement of the mind.
Kundalini Flow - Share our similarities, celebrate our differences
Balance & Fullness exists in the polarity of all things
To yoke and to unite - With a flowing and dynamic yoga practice we will get in touch with the different aspects of ourselves. Creating physical and mental space for all parts to dance and flow with each other.
This flowing Hatha and Kundalini inspired class will connect us to the power, joy, peace, potential and peace within us and within everything.
Awake and at home
The wounds, pain and trauma of our society and individual lives lead toward dissociation, not truly feeling connected. But all that we cherish arise from an embodied presence. Explore what it means to awaken in each embodied moment of our often challenging, chaotic and beautifully sacred lives as human beings. Let yourself be supported on this journey of becoming more fully grounded, spacious and responsive. Expect a challenging practice in a safe environment to fully feel and reconnect with the wisdom of your body and return back home to your heart. A practice suitable for everyBODY!

Eat the rainbow
This workshop introduces the participants to the concept of eating to balance the energies of all 7 Chakras. Starting with the root to the crown chakra.
The chakras represent the colors of the rainbow. Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red.
Plus all 6 tastes that work with the Constitutions of VATA PITTA And KAPHA. The idea is to de-mystify the use of Ayurveda in your daily meals. Simple ideas to use spices and the right color foods for balancing your meals and improving your metabolism.
Listen to your gut!
In this workshop, I introduce you to some neurocerebral yoga techniques in addition to valuable nutrition tips for your digestion. Integrating them into your everyday life is easier than you think! You will learn how to gently stimulate your parasympathetic nervous system - the resting nerve -, we will practice gentle digestive yoga and finally relax with a calming abdominal hypnosis.
Yin Yang & all about balance
Yin and Yang is a Chinese symbol that represents opposite symbols in union. Yin, shown in black in the symbol, stands for the receiving, passive, feminine principle. In contrast, yang, shown in white, stands for activity and masculinity. In the interplay of these two principles, life unfolds in all its ever-changing phenomena. Together, Yin and Yang are a unity - one could not exist without the other.
In this unity we would like to connect exactly these 2 energies. We start with a flowing yoga practice suitable for all levels and then hold some poses from Yin Yoga for a little longer time to move from doing to being. Allow your body to let go.
Back to the basics and the foundation of a yoga practice
In this practice, we will explore common mistakes and obstacles on how to move safely and efficiently through a dynamic or Hatha Yoga practice.
In this workshop everyone is welcome and you will walk away with tools of how to move with ease and grace through any kind of yoga practice. Sandra will open up for questions and also make sure, that you will have time to implement all the ideas and postures talked about in the beginning of the practice into a flow.
Meditation is one of the fundamental practices of yoga but often the least easy to study and perform. Beginner students tend to get turned away by over-detailed instructions and by the idea that meditation is another practice to add to their already tight schedule.
In this class you will learn how to approach the intimate action of meditation and make it a form of self-care routine, by simple-focused tools for awareness.
The power of choice
This will be a dynamic and fun class. The purpose of this class is to understand that there is a very basic form to every difficult pose, and there is an intelligent way to build every pose. There will be many different options within this class so that each student can choose where he/she wants to stay and at the same time we all practice together as one.
Kundalini Yoga - Be active to cultivate quiet
Exploring, noticing and welcoming the Polarities with in us
In this class we will strengthen our centre and connect with the power that is within us and in the community. The abdominal centre - the Manipura Chakra - is the home of the digestive organs and represents courage, willpower and self-confidence. It is the centre of our body intelligence and somatic wisdom.
With this powerful energy we then dive into a deep relaxation and time of integration.
This flowing Hatha and Kundalini inspired class balances body, mind and spirit.
Free moving skills
"Free moving skills" is about breaking down old thinking and movement patterns and experiencing yoga in a new, creative way. Yoga is not the asana, but the mental attitude behind it. Bring an open mind!
Mountain Mystics - Tibet to St. Anton
Yogis in the Himalayas as well as right here in the Alberg area of Austria are inspired by nature. Join us for an invigorating vinyasa flow followed by creative exploration of asana with fun partner exercises like group yantras (geometric forms). Karl also shares some stories, a brief guided meditation, and deep relaxation. A fresh personal experience of the living tradition of yoga and connection with nature, with each other, and with our own inner truth.
Flow & Play
Step by step in this unit we will connect different movements synchronously with our breathing until a kind of meditation - a FLOW - emerges. You will also have the opportunity to bring out your inner child and, if you wish, leave your comfort zone. Playfully we try out what your body and mind are capable of. And very importantly, this is not a workout where the goal is to go "faster", "higher", "further". There is no competition in yoga - long live diversity.
Rock & Roll Flow
Good Tunes, Good Yoga - singing along, playing the air-guitar, being carried away by emotions - all of this is part of yoga. Since the beginning of civilization, music has created community, music is a universal language, music liberates the body ... this class is a music based vinyasa flow, open level, some knowledge of yoga is advantageous
Sacred flow, sacred detox and twists
We will begin the practice with some breath work to invoke some heat and activate our stomach and also our power centre. Sandra will weave creative flows with a lot of heat to build the agni and fire within to then be able to twist and turn from our very core. The intention is that you will leave lighter in both body , mind and spirit.
It is essential that you do not eat a heavy snack or meal before this practice as we will really release and massage our inner organs trough movement. As always we will end our practice with sweet longer holds and restorative poses that are a part of the same family as the more dynamic asanas.
Inversions
This class/workshop will have many different inputs for the inversion practice. It will be covered accessible ways to do every inversion, and a progressive way towards building a solid inversion practice.
Foundations of an Ayurvedic lifestyle
The objective of this workshop is to give the participants a series of options to include into their daily lifestyle.
Incorporating a simple daily manageable set of routines based on Ayurveda that highlight a focus on all parts of the whole. The Physical, Mental, Emotional and the Spiritual.
This workshop will share practices for good oral health and digestion. Increase awareness of the different energies and influences for each part of the day.
Participants will learn about their individual tendencies and constitutions and explore the right daily practices for themselves.
Give your liver a smile and it will smile back
Here I give you some important nutritional tips that will help you to do something good for your liver, even in your often hectic everyday life. The liver is a multifunctional organ, but although it is one of the most important organs in our body, we often pay too little attention to it.
You will learn more about the tasks and functions of your liver. Afterwards, we will go into a Yin Yoga session together, through which we will gently activate our liver metabolism. Whether you are a yoga beginner or a professional, if you are interested in a holistic view of your body and your health, this workshop is for you!
What connects us earthlings to the universe? The stars!

All about the hips and heart / Yin- and Restorative Yoga

A beautiful way to release tension from hikes , stronger practices or simply just a wonderful way to come back Home to heart and hips.
Come as you are
Young, old, background, beginner or advanced - this class is for each and every one of you. I'm looking forward to getting on the mat with a variety of yogis, reviewing the last few days and celebrating life's contrasts. You are encouraged to open up one last time in a Hatha Yoga session, to show yourself exactly as you are beyond competitiveness and elbow mentality. Everything that makes you as a human being may also flow into your yoga practice. Long live diversity, life is colourful - so is yoga - take it easy.
We are diverse and powerful!
When we look at ourselves oftentimes we tend to see multiplicity and diversity.
Who am I? The old-time yoga practitioner, the shy and unresolved human being who still looks for public recognition, the volunteer worker, the attractive and strong minded teacher or simply someone feeling splintered by the many different layers that he seems to shift in and out of?
In meditation we actually move through those many layers of ourselves.
In this class, you will learn how to navigate through the diversified geography of your inner body and the many layers of yourself progressively learning to unlock the hidden power in each one of them.
Start your day in silence with a guided meditation in the morning. According to the festival theme your yoga teacher or expert will prepare a nice way to start into the day.
Yoga sessions will be on the schedule for beginners, intermediate and advanced yogis with teachers coming from all over the world, offering different yoga styles and levels. Yoga language: English/German.
